The Artist Behind the Waves.
I was born and raised on the Black Sea coast, and nature has played an integral role in my life, since my early years. My favourite childhood memories include, building theme parks out of sand, shells, branches and pieces of wrappers (which I used as flags) on the beach and then splashing around in the salty, silky waters of the sea. Diving into the ice-cold springs after a tiring hike, watching clouds and making up stories based on their shapes.
At the age of 18, I left my tiny charming town on the Black Sea coast to climb the corporate ladder in the cosmopolitan jungle of Toronto. Years went by and I began to feel that a piece was missing from my happiness mosaic. It wasn’t until I rediscovered my love of artistic expression that I was able to complete the picture. Painting brings me back to my sweet childhood memories where there was no social media and gadgets, bills and responsibilities and observing nature sounded like a exciting leisure activity.
Through my paintings, I would like to take you on a journey to look at nature through a different lense - that of your inner child, seeing the world for the first time and not taking it for granted. This lense has vibrant colors and unique textures, something we often miss in adult life. My art is there to be observed, felt, and touched, not analyzed, and I hope it brings as much joy to your home as it did to me while creating it.
